Sunday 18th June from 12 to 3pm; a venue: the Meadows Community Centre, 1 St Catharine’s Road, Cambridge CB4 3XJ
Jo Cox MP lived her life spreading her belief that we have more in common than divides us. In that spirit, her family and friends are inviting people across the country to mark the anniversary of her murder by organising or attending a celebration in their community on 17-18 June. Here in Cambridge we will join together with thousands of other groups over the whole country to celebrate and remember Jo’s life.
There’ll be live folk, and blues, soul and rock n’ roll music, Unity choir singing, drumming workshop, arts and crafts, a talk on “HOPE is where HOME is”, badge making, a wall of HOPE art project, food, and stalls from local charities and ethnic communities.
